Oberon

Saturday, May 10, 2008

The area around Oberon, which is about 3 hours drive out of Sydney, heading west over the Blue Mountains was very dry...Nothing much was growing other than these Blackberries which were well and truly in season; as you can see Warren was making a feast of them
..

This Llama was just so cute and friendly
we were able to walk up close
and pat him .

Hi Carol Enjoyed your photos. Particularly liked the one with all the little leaves on the ground. Can't remember where it was but it just spoke to me of the Lord going before us when we walk, and putting down protection for us. They looked like rose petals.

Love Sylvia

Cami, Thanks, although where would I be without you..I could never have gotten to this point :)

Yes Stacey Warren loves wild berries. They are becoming harder to find in the mountains now, they are an obnoxious weed and are being poisoned,I don't know how this bush managed to escape. Good for Warren though...

Hi, Sylvia,
Thanks for stopping by..Those leaves you liked so much, I felt exactly the same way. They were actually leaves from the willows which line the Parramatta River, where I spend most of my walking hours... I am going to be adding a lot more from this area. Each time I walk through here I get to see something brand new.
